      Mobile Multimedia Van  
       

The Mobile Multimedia Van is a platform for local artists to work with local communities. The multimedia van artists run video, sound, animation, graphic design and music workshops with local youth at schools, localities, shopping centres, youth centres and etc. The hands- on approach is utilised to involve young people in the projects.

Mobile Multimedia Van is involved with a variety of youth projects in South West Sydney. Music CDs, Short video arts, short documentaries, radio and sound pieces are only some of the things that are going to come out soon!

Mobile Multimedia Van is currently in partnership with Liverpool City Council, Fairfield City Council, Open Family, Living Streets Project (LCC), Community Broadcasting Association of Australia(CBAA), 2GLF FM Radio, Liverpool Library and in running multimedia projects.

Liverpool Migrant Resource Centre's Mobile Multimedia Van is available for hire by incorporated community organisations, services, councils, schools and community groups servicing people from non-English speaking backgrounds, particularly youth in Sydney's West.

The van is for hire for 3 hour, one day, weekend and one week blocks. It comes fully equipped with video cameras, lighting kits, sound recording equipment, a sound mixer, scanners and 2 top range computers, for graphic design, animation and web design as well as digital video editing, transfer and sound production. A fully qualified support staff/ artist will always accompany the van and is available for formal and informal tutoring and/or assistance. The van can be powered by your centre or using the on board generator.

Multimedia Lab

The Liverpool Migrant Resource Centre Media lab contains 12 PC computers, 6 of which have both video and sound editing capabilities and all of which have internet access and burn DVD's.  

Through the Media Lab the arts program of the LMRC runs a numer of digital media workshops in video editing, music, bloging etc.

The LMRC also runs a Drop In/Homework help program which allows young people to come in and have access to the computers every Mondays and Wednesdays between 4pm and 6pm.
